Pictures from the U9’s and U10’s Festival at Saracens

I wanted to share that U9s and 10s had a great day at Saracens on Saturday. OCs had 45 players and took up over 110 seats in the brand-new west stand – building control signed it off 2 hours before the Saracens vs Bath game.

The morning festival went well, and the children were then invited to play at half time. Children, coaches, and supporters all had a fabulous day. Thanks to Stuart Fleckney and everyone else that helped make it happen.

“OCRFC U10s recently travelled to Saracens’ StoneX Stadium along with the U9s for a cracking day out of rugby, and to watch their heroes on the pitch after.

Having met early at Horn Park, players and parents made the trip over to a very chilly StoneX ready to take part in a 5 game festival then to watch Saracens vs Bath afterwards.

The weather couldn’t have been better and all of the children were a credit to the club, scoring some wonderful team tries whilst always putting their bodies on the line. It was also great playing other Saracens partner clubs whom wewouldn’t normally come up against.

It was a fantastic experience for all the children – not only did we play the festival on the pitch in the morning, but we were also the half time entertainment with a packed stadium watching on!

Well done to all the players, and thank you to all coaches/managers and of course parents for making it a wonderful day out.

Everyone slept very well that evening….

On to the next one!!”

U12’s Warm Up Game before 1st XV Match

U12s looking smart in their white shirts and club ties after their match against Old Alleynians before the 1st XV game.

Great wins for both them and the 1st XV who now go top of the league.

Well done to Karen Fitzgerald, Calum Dewar and all the coaching team.
