First and foremost thank you to all of those that attended, contributed and made the evening just that extra special.
We opened the scoring with Jesus Correa going over early on after some sustained pressure from our forwards. But very quickly Beckenham responded with a try of their own after some missed tackles by us they went over thanks to there number 14. Both these tries were not converted.
Our second try was scored by Jed Wylie busting through the Beckenham defence from close range, Ollie Burkett kicked the conversion. Again Beckenham levelled the scores with another try and conversion.
The sequence of scoring continued with Andy O’Malley getting a try again converted by Ollie, followed by a try and conversion from Beckenham, 19 points each. Then with not that long to go Ollie scored from a penalty kick so we were leading 22-19. Sustained pressure from Beckenham who were going all out for the win was stopped by us and eventually Chris Harris put the ball into touch and the referees whistle went.
Shout out to the coaches for there support and enthusiasm.
Big thanks also to Mick Wylie for the great photos, see the link below.

The McMillan Murray Cup – Beckenham RFC and Old Colfeians RFC
Beckenham RFC and Old Colfeians RFC are proud to come together to announce the creation of The McMillan Murray Cup, a memorial rugby cup established in honour of two much-loved players: Graham Murray of Beckenham RFC and Brendan McMillan of Old Colfeians RFC.
Both Graham and Brendan were more than just players â they were teammates, friends, and integral parts of their respective clubs. They are still deeply missed by their clubs, their friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing them. Their impact continues to be felt both on and off the pitch.
The McMillan Murray Cup will be contested annually across the home and away fixtures between Beckenham and Old Colfeians. While rivalry has always been a part of these encounters, this cup represents something greater â a shared respect, unity, and remembrance beyond competition.
Through this fixture, both clubs honour the legacy of Graham and Brendan by playing the game they loved with the values they embodied: commitment, camaraderie, and respect. It stands as a reminder that rugby brings people together, even in times of loss.
Both Beckenham RFC and Old Colfeians RFC continue to send their love and thoughts to Grahamâs and Brendanâs families, honouring their memory and ensuring they are never forgotten.
