Colts and Juniors On Tour

U15 Boys

A great but interesting tour at the Isle of Wight!!! – first day ended with a win and 2 draws against some physically tough teams.

The next day we played the first game against a Welsh team that didn’t know what hit them!! Winning that, we came top of our group. So we went through to the semi finals which was played with no break from the last game and against a fresh team that hadn’t played that day! We drew 5-5 but didn’t know that the rule was if there is a draw – first try scorer wins so Hampstead ‘won’.

We were then supposed to play our last game however 2 teams were rightly disqualified for fighting (players, coaches and parents). Blackheath were then supposed to play Sidcup however only had 12 boys so decided to forfeit the game and play as a friendly with our boys making up the numbers – the game was great fun – with our boys scoring lots of tries for Blackheath😂

Our boys were undefeated and impressed the organisers with their teamwork and spirit. We believe as the only team undefeated and only allowing in 2 tries rightly deserved this praise. The boys, parents and coaches did the club proud and have come a long way in the last few years. What a weekend !!

U14 Boys

We had a fantastic tour to Great Yarmouth, hosted by North Walsham Rugby Club.

1 loss, 2 draws and 3 wins (one particularly spectacular win against the undefeated Mellish, in the last game of the tour, raising the heart rate of every parent pitch side!) gave us 3rd place in a very close competition. All the boys had a great time and played some truly incredible rugby.

Colts

A winning finish on French soil 🇫🇷🏉 The Colts close out their 15s season with a win against @calais_rugby – but this tour was about more than a game. New friendships, shared memories, and the perfect send-off for an incredible squad. Wishing all the boys the very best for what’s next. See you in Seniors 👊

U13’s in France

U13s have been enjoying French hospitality too. We had a brilliant tour to Bordeaux, playing Gradignan RC and Cadaujac RC.
There was also touch rugby and a pétanque tournament for parents.
Gradignan, led by former OC coach Bruno, were amazing hosts.
