It is with a very heavy and sad heart that I have to inform you that a much loved OC’s player was cruelly taken from us on Monday.
Brendan was one of the kindest, funniest, most genuine people you could ever wish to meet.
He lit up every room he walked into, forever smiling, always cracking a joke and always full of life.
His absence from our tight knit club will be deeply felt for a long time to come. We will miss him more than words can say and will forever carry his memory with us.
We are also mourning the loss of his beloved father, Terry, a long time supporter and sponsor of the club.
In due course, we will ensure that both Brendan and Terry are properly and appropriately remembered at Horn Park.
Our thoughts and prayers are with their family and friends during this incredibly difficult time.
Whilst there is an ongoing police investigation into their tragic deaths, the rugby club will make no further comments and allow the police to do their jobs thoroughly.
