With the weather putting a number off, we managed to get 10 U18s Crimson players down to Tunbridge Wells. The hosting side lent us two players so we were able to play 12 a side.
After about 30 seconds, a strong Tunbridge side had already scored, and with heads down from the off, the side had run in over 40 points coming up to half time.
In order to get the most out of the game, and give the host’s subs game time too, we played 15 a side for the remainder of the game by borrowing a different five. This half was much better, with a stand out effort by Prosper and her chase back to stop a try. The Crimsons managed to defend much better in this half, and also turned a few balls over, but were unable to capitalise on this. A solid effort sticking with it to the end, but on the day, beaten by a much more experienced side.
