Latest Jack Petchey Awards

The latest Jack Petchey Awards have recently been presented to the deserved winners:

Joe Conlan-Webb receives the Jack Petchey Award for October 2008

October 2008 - Joe Conlan-Webb

Joe is a wonderful ambassador for the game. He is a polite, hard working, knowledgeable skilled player who can play in a number of positions. He always gives full commitment in every game and his determined, strong play is always a severe test for all opposition. Joe is the leading try scorer for the season thus far. He is an example to his peers, and is well respected. Should Joe be given this honour in receiving a Jack Petchey award, I am confident he will serve the name well and all that the award stands for.
Andy Carmichael receives the Jack Petchey Award for November 2008

November 2008 - Andy Carmichael

Andy is a long serving member of the squad who plays with skill, determination and courage in equal measure. As one of our key forwards he always make s significant contribution in every game, both in attack and defence. As a member of the team who won last year's Kent sevens at our age group, this year, he was our only new player to get through to the final Kent trials to play for the country, and he is currently waiting for the results.
Greg Nichols receives the Jack Petchey Award for December 2008

December 2008 - Greg Nichols

Greg joined us 2 years ago as an Under 13; he immediately made a big impact in the scrum and clearly enjoys the game. A consistent performer, attending fitness and training sessions and all of our home or away fixtures. He’s worked hard on his fitness and has become a vital part of the squad. I nominate Greg because he is one of those unsung heroes that just knows, and gets on with, his job, willing to take instruction and immerse himself in the general thrust of the objective.
